When the story and the video clip of the naked woman being made to do ear squats by the Police came out the whole country was shocked and there was a united and loud call for action to be taken on the people responsible for the humiliating and dehumanising way the poor woman was subjected to. The PM, in Malta , phoned the DIGP and expressed his shame and promised that "there would be no cover-up" and that the people responsible "would be taken to task". Now the DIGP has been quoted as saying that the Police did no wrong and that they were more concerned with finding the person responsible for taking the video clip. The DIGP's response is disgraceful, to say the least, after what the PM and the DPM have said about the disgusting method used by the Police to process the woman detainee and the shame it has brought to the country. Now the whole country is shocked by the IGP's and the DIGP's attitude and everybody is waiting to see what action the government is going to take against two of its most senior civil servants! How can the Malaysian public have any more respect for the PDRM with the two still at the helm?
